This day-long, online event is intended to help our community frame a pathway forward in healing through messages of HOPE.
The date for this edition of Framing A Pathway Forward was selected because it is World Suicide Prevention Day.
Originally scheduled at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre in Medicine Hat, we’ve decided to move this event online.
Admission to this online event is free! We’ll still be hearing from a wide variety of individuals from various backgrounds and places.

Life Is Worth Living
Our second keynote speaker for this edition of Framing A Pathway Forward is the Saskatoon-based group, Life Is Worth Living.
Dedicated to spreading awareness and decreasing the stigma surrounding mental illness and suicide, their hope is to prevent other families from ever having to go through the loss of a loved one to death by suicide.
What is the Regional Suicide Prevention Council?
For this session, Breanne will be explaining what exactly the Alberta SE Regional Suicide Prevention Council is. Breanne will also describe Roots of Hope, the community-led suicide prevention project that RSPC operates along with the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

The folks from Our Collective Journey will be joining us again to share information about the services they offer and how to connect with them to access these.
How Youth Connect
Representatives from the new Integrated Youth Services program will be taking the stage to share what they have been developing, and to present on the topic of youth connection.
Private Counsellors
We have invited Registered Psychologist, Amanda Muryn, to provide advice on how to best utilize services from professionals in her field: how to access their support, general costs, what questions you should ask, and much more!
Alberta Health Services
Alberta Health Services representative, Lee, will be speaking to addictions and mental health issues, and the supports that they have in place for individuals who are affected by these.
Schizophrenia Society of Alberta
The Schizophrenia Society of Alberta offers a number of resources and supports for individuals to utilize. Wendy will be sharing with us what exactly these supports are, as well as how to access them.
Palliser Primary Care Network
Joining us from the Palliser Primary Care Network, Abbies will be sharing what is offered through PCN and how to access these resources.
CMHA Programs & Recovery College
Representing the Canadian Mental Health Association Alberta Southeast Region, Recovery Trainers Michelle and Mark will be joining us to explain the supportive programming that CMHA ASER offers, including the new courses in our Recovery College.
Local Lived Experience: Judy Martin
Our first keynote of the day comes from a local perspective. Judy Martin will be sharing her own lived experience around loss of a loved one to death by suicide, and her mental health journey while framing a pathway forward.

The one and only Trevor Moore will be our host for the day, introducing speakers, facilitating discussion, and no doubt adding his own special humour to the proceedings.
